Watching Ditsi Carolino’s documentary, Lupang Hinarang, made me remember the time I attended the World Urban Forum in Vancouver, Canada in 2006. Thea capella rendition ofthe Kenyan Girls Quartet echoed in my memory: “…Give me Lord a land rather than work in the city where money dissolves like salt in water…”
